History
SDI is founded in 1953 to produce stationery.
The Electronic Components Division is established to produce lead frames for semiconductors and IC sockets.
The subsidiary Chao Shin Metal Industrial Corp. is established to produce and sell various cold roll steel strips.
Officially listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
The subsidiary TEC Brite Technology Co., Ltd., is established to produce etched lead frames.
SDC subsidiary is founded in Jiangsu.
SDI sets up a new factory in Nan Tou, and the capacity of lead frames increases.
SDI is rated “Best supplier of high power transistor lead frames in 2007” by both STMicroelectronics Shenzhen (STS) and STMicroelectronics (ST).
SDI enters the field of LED lead frames and begins production shipments.
